The Artery is a music-filled event and art auction happening this Saturday, October 23rd. All proceeds benefit Art with Heart, a fabulous non-profit that offers art therapy for at-risk youth. SEAT (Seattle Experimental Animation Team) is going to be showing its Funtacular Explosion line up on two monitors at the event. You will be able to see clips of work from twelve local animators – styles include from back-lit cutouts, flash, drawn, found footage and much more. The work will be shown silently to allow for music and discussion. You may remember our Funtacular Explosion mash-up from a blow out event we held in March at the Zeitgeist. Though we will only have two monitors for this event and not 4 projections, we are happy to be included in an event that showcases emerging artists. Here is all the official info:

Hosted by Lowell’s in the Pike Place Market.
This first-ever affair will feature a silent auction that showcases the work of new and emerging artists. Guests and artists will enjoy a no-host bar along with entertainment by local musicians. All are welcome to join us for a night dedicated to all who value the process of artistic creation.
